the communications manager of the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation
The Russian occupation forces continue to conduct a massive shelling of Ukrainian energy system facilities. It causes power outages that disrupt critical social infrastructure such as schools and hospitals.
Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation provides energy decentralization solutions for schools and hospitals – solar stations with electricity conservation systems which makes institutions energy independent. One of such stations was installed at the «Mriya» lyceum in Irpin, Kyiv region.
We would like to offer your readers the news about solar station opening in Irpin lyceum «Mriya» (Kyiv region, Ukraine). The project was implemented with the support of our foundation, donors, and German partners.
A solar station was installed on the school’s roof within the project «100RESforSchools». These are 52 solar panels with a total capacity of 20 kW. Such a station will allow the school to function autonomously despite power outages and help reduce utility bills by 30% per year.
The event was attended by representatives of the local authorities, Ms. Anka Feldhusen, Ambassador of Germany in Ukraine, and Jörg Ebel, President of the German Solar Association.
More details about the Foundation and its project are in the text of the release. Therefore, I am attaching it to the letter.
